America’s Best FAQ

  • America’s Best is an expert-judged virtual spirits and THC Beverage competition, exclusively open to spirit and Hemp THC beverage brands produced in the United States. The Triple Crown of Beverage Competitions, It's designed to celebrate and promote the craft and quality of brands from each state and region. With one entry, brands will be eligible to be ranked within their state, their region and nationally.

  • All spirits, including non-alcoholic spirit alternatives and Hemp THC beverages, produced in the United States are eligible to enter the competition. Entries will be automatically placed in state and regional subgroups based on state of production.

  • You can enter the competition by filling out the registration form on our official website, paying the entry fee, and submitting your samples. Detailed instructions on the submission process can be found under the "Rules & Regulations" section of our website.

  • Yes. The competition will have two categories available for non-alcoholic spirit alternatives:
    * Non-Alcoholic Spirit
    * Hemp THC Beverage

  • All confirmed entrants will receive an e-mail with shipping instructions and timing. Current sample deadline is November 5, 2024.

  • State-Only Entry: $150

    Region + State Entry: $300

    The Triple Crown (National + Region + Stat): $450

    Discounts for 3 or more are available.

    Packaging awards: $75 per item.

  • Yes. The following discount codes can be used at checkout:
    * For 3-4 entries: 3ENTRY5 for 5% off
    * For 5-9 entries: 5ENTRY10 for 10% off
    * For 10+ entries: 10ENTRY20 for 20% off

  • Extended Entry deadline is October 30, 2024

  • Spirits are judged by a panel of industry professionals on a 100-point scale. Categories include: appearance, aroma, taste, body, finish, and overall balance. Judging is done blind, meaning the judges do not know the brand or specific details about the brands they are evaluating.

  • Each category nationally and regionally will have Double Gold (top ranked in category with at least a 95+ score), Gold (90-100 points), Silver (80-89 points), and Bronze (70-79 points) medalsi. Additionally, there will be a “Best in Show” award given to the highest-scoring spirit across all categories, as well as “Best in State,” “Best in Region” and “Best in Category” awards. Additional categories can be added at the discretion of the competition committee. Regional medal winners will receive regionally-specific medals in additional to national medals.

  • Winners will receive regional and national digital medals, along with unrestricted rights to use the medals in their marketing and packaging. The results will also be published on our website and shared with major industry publications and via social media. Double Gold winners will also have the opportunity to be featured in-store at exclusive retail partners.

  • Our first regional competition, The South’s Best Spirits Awarss, took place last year. You can find a list of Gold and Double Gold medal winners here.

  • The event is virtual, with the judges tasting and evaluating the spirits in Kentucky in November, 2024, but not open to the public.
